Is there a way to test the cdi unit. I have a 2003 4x4 400 cat i do not have any fire to plug i have changed the kill swich coil stator plug wire plug boot and the cdi box when i run volt test i get 40 volts to the coil but when i hit the starter the voltage stays the same i hope. Guys i have a 04 artic cat 90 4 stroke that im working on for a friend. I checked for spark and no spark so i took it to a friends that knows a lot more than me on this stuff.

Not really check the amps comming out of the stator plate going to the cdi box. Or the spark plug just went bad that happens quite often and it s normal.
